Rare. Quarto, (21 cm x 13 cm), XII pp., (includes Half title, Title page, blank), 321 pp., plus 1 folded map (with damage) of Lake Ascochinga. Cloth binding, leather spine and tips -very worn- with gilt titles. Inside the work is presented in good shape. Not in Suarez. 

Ceballos was a Cordovan Inspector General of Schools and a journalist who would also work in La Rioja. The newspaper "La Nación" summoned him for some regional travel chronicles that would allow him to transmit experiences collected in the various territories of the province. These stories, written with a descriptive and testimonial character, which the traveler identified as "excursions", covered various scenarios and allowed us to understand the nature of urban and rural life at the end of a century marked by the vertigo of change. The expansion of agricultural colonies, the impact of the railway with the new dimensions of time and distances, arise together with the persistence of secular traditions and the dynamics that are witnessing the experiences of immigrant communities.

Considered by Rubén Darío, this anthology of texts was published by Ceballos under the pseudonym Ashaverus, which identified him with the journey of the ancient “wandering Jew”.
