This is the journey made by the author in 1924, invited by the Spanish Patriotic Society of Buenos Aires and collected by the Royal Geographical Society of Spain in a conference given on November 22, 1943. In the text of the same it indicates: “When children commit some fault and fear being reprimanded by their parents, the first thing that occurs to them many times to apologize is to say it wasn't me, I wasn't to blame, and if they can they blame it on a classmate”. José Casares Gil (1866-1961) studied Science and Pharmacy in Madrid and specialized in Germany, France and the United States. He was President of the Royal Academy of Exact Sciences and published this work as Vice President of the Royal Geographical Society. He teaches at the Universities of Salamanca and Santiago de Compostela. The objective of his trip, as he expresses it, was not to contemplate what he already had in Europe, but the beauties of American nature: the pampas and the jungle. His trip went from Estancia La Luisa, near Pehuajó, from where he traveled and lived rural life, to the Chaco, the Jesuit Missions (still not cleared of the jungle) and the Iguazú falls. He has interesting accounts of the ways of life in these regions. He says goodbye advancing towards Paraguay.
