It is a travel book made for the newspaper "El Pueblo" of Buenos Aires. whose direction was exercised by the author and that, since 1896, had been publishing historical novels that were highly praised by Mitre, Roca and Guido Spano, among others. It contains specific references about the start of the trip through Mendoza and the book develops an analysis of the circumstances that it captures from the daily life of Chile, pondering the positive differences (Museum of Fine Arts of Chile, recently concluded) and other facets in the political planes. , social, religious and educational. The photographs document with quality the scenes of the crossing of the Andes.
