Interesting argument about the virtues and requirements of a soldier from historical times. The author of it concludes the brochure with a claim to the legislators of her country: sometime an act of justice for the soldier !!! " On the previous page he had dealt with his conditions since the War of Independence: “His life without his joys, because he has no way to satisfy them, will become desperate on the day of illness or other misfortune. Before the revolution, the soldier full of comforts enjoyed ten pesos a month, (...) To wage war with less tax from the citizens, those who heroically surrendered their existence to death in defense of the homeland, also gave a part of their assets for the benefit of the public treasury; and being the fruit of his sacrifices the acquisition of Independence (...)"
