Handwritten poetry. Circa 1940.
Octavo (14 x 17.9 cm / 5.51 x 7.04 in), 1 page, handwritten. In very good condition.
"A scepter turns green (...)" wrote Leopoldo Marechal in his "Cantabrian Grandfather", a poem published for the first time in the book "Cinco Poemas Australes" of 1937. The version that was known in print in its last verse, It says: "que levanta los frutos", unlike the one that we present with his fist and with his signature, where it reads: que recoge los frutos.
