The Album, certainly the most important that has been made on Bolivia, addresses its historical stages from the pre-Hispanic period, that of ancient cultures, including the peculiar culture of the Kollas, and outlines the origin of Bolivia as a nation. With this introduction he aims to inform about Bolivian development throughout its first century of independent life. It contains articles on mineralogy and geology, animals and plants (with economic maps of the types of plantations), a historical calendar, literature, letters and journalism, the evolution of art, music and architecture. It incorporates an important Note for a national biographical dictionary and gives news of the Public Administration. The historical photographic material that the Album collects in its more than 1,100 pages is of great importance. Work of singular importance.

The vast majority of the edited photographic images belong to Rodolfo Torrico Zamudio, except for some views taken by Max T. Vargas and Luis D. Gismondi, and others of Oruro taken by Carlos Portillo. The texts bring together different authors, such as Fritz Buck; Emilio Villanueva P .; José Lavandez; Gustavo Adolfo Otero and many others.
